5 new ways to use ChatGPT at work — and beyond

In case you haven’t been reading the news, OpenAI has been on an absolute roll this past week with brand new ChatGPT features like image generation, web browsing, audio and image input, and more.
Here are 5 new ways you can use ChatGPT to get more done:
Get ChatGPT to explain complex images, charts, diagrams and more
With the new multimodal features that let you upload images, documents, and screenshots, you can now ask ChatGPT to explain what’s going on in that image. Below is an example of ChatGPT explaining a diagram of a human cell:
ChatGPT breaks down this diagram of a human cell for a 9th grader.
This is the future of education.

Get up-to-date summaries, data, analysis and more with Web Browsing

With the web browsing feature making a return, ChatGPT has access to the internet once again.
This means that ChatGPT’s answers are no longer limited to the events of Sep 2021 and before. You can now get real-time data in ChatGPT and use it to do a number of things like:
Give ChatGPT a link to a website or document and ask it to explain or summarize the content
Ask ChatGPT to retrieve data like stock prices and game scores
Share a link to a website and ask it to analyze SEO performance
Ask ChatGPT to create content like social media or blog posts about recent events
In the example above, I used the web browsing extension to summarize and understand a research paper.
You’ll need to select web browsing at the top of your screen to use this feature.
Convert images, screenshots, whiteboards, Figma designs and more into code
Yes, that’s right. You can get working code for a website just by uploading an image or sketch for that website into ChatGPT.
Below is a video of a real working example, where the creator converts a screenshot of a dashboard into working code by passing it through ChatGPT:
I gave ChatGPT a screenshot of a SaaS dashboard and it wrote the code for it.
This is the future.

Get assistance with school homework and assignments
The obvious downside here is that kids will also use it to cheat on their homework or assignments. While there are some tools that help you catch plagiarized text, catching ChatGPT answers to math problems might not be so easy.
Below is an example of a user uploading a screenshot of a math problem into ChatGPT and getting the correct answer:
Kids will never do homework again.

Use ChatGPT Advanced Data Analysis to analyze data, create spreadsheets, generate charts, and more
While the Advanced Data Analysis feature isn’t new, the latest features mentioned above unlock some new ways you can analyze data:
Upload a screenshot or image with text or numbers and ask ChatGPT to analyze the numbers
Create charts and graphs with those numbers and export it as a new Excel file
Below is a cheatsheet I created to help you get started with data analysis on ChatGPT:

Note: OpenAI says that the new features will be rolled out over the next 2 weeks. If you can’t find the new features in ChatGPT, I recommend saving this email and coming back in a few days.
