Ameca, a humanoid bot powered by generative AI can now interact with people. It was one of the many robots featured in this year’s International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) where visitors got to see what the future looks like. Think of it like Robot Olympics.

Interactions with Ameca showed that it’s fluent in dozens of languages, can recite poetry, and draw sketches on command - and even smile. It uses the AI image generator Stable Diffusion for the drawings and OpenAI’s GPT-3 for the responses.

Will Jackson, director of the company that manufactured Ameca claims these bots are designed specifically for interacting with people.
