AutoGPT is the next big thing in AI: an app that makes GPT-4 entirely autonomous. It’s an open-source experimental app that takes GPT-4's abilities to the next level by empowering it to prompt and direct itself without human intervention.

In practice, this means that AutoGPT can do things like receive an instruction and take it to completion by itself. For example, if you tell it to order groceries, it can browse the internet and order groceries for you on its own.

This is a big step for AI. Unlike ChatGPT which needs explicit prompts and can only generate text, AutoGPT shows a much higher level of autonomy by completing real-world tasks across the internet.
