Turnitin launched its own AI writing detection tool to detect plagiarism called Originality. According to Turnitin CEO Chris Caren, educators are currently prioritising the ability to accurately detect AI-generated text. This is crucial for determining the authenticity of students' work and engaging with them effectively.

Good news for teachers. Terrible news for all the kids who turned in ChatGPT generated assignments.
