Welcome back, Superhuman. OpenAI wants to replace your tweets with “yeets.” Rumors suggest the startup is building its own X rival — a move that would totally transform how we use ChatGPT, making it a much more social experience. And: A leading video model just got even better.

TODAY IN AI
1. Chinese startup drops ‘world’s most powerful’ video model: When it comes to industry-leading VLMs, Kuaishou Technology’s Kling was already near the top of the pack. But a major update just made the Chinese startup’s model even harder to beat. Kling 2.0 brings better prompt adherence, motion quality, and style consistency. For image-to-video, it achieved a win-loss ratio of 182% against Google’s Veo 2 and 178% over Runway’s Gen-4. X’s Angry Tom just shared 10 examples of what you can make with it — or, watch the full announcement video here.
2. Gemini is getting access to Veo 2: Most of us have waited months to get our hands on Alphabet’s best-in-class video model. Now, anyone with a Gemini Advanced subscription can try the VLM — which generates 8-second clips with state-of-the-art visual detail and realistic physics — directly in the Gemini app. It’s also coming to the experimental Whisk app, letting One AI Premium subscribers mix and match different prompts and images to create their own animations.
3. Anthropic wants to supercharge your work with a new Research feature: Anthropic is taking more steps to make Claude less like a chatbot and more like an interactive companion. A new Research tool lets you search across both the web and your company’s internal documents, helping you quickly find the information you need, regardless of its original source. Also, Claude now works with Google Workspace, meaning you can ask it to perform actions across your Docs, Calendar, and Gmail.

FROM THE FRONTIER
OpenAI is working on its own social media platform

An AI-generated concept of what OpenAI’s rumored social network could look like. Created with Gemini.
When news broke in February that Meta was working on an app to compete with ChatGPT, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman shot back with what we all thought was just a joke. “Ok fine, maybe we’ll do a social app,” he wrote.
It turns out, he wasn’t kidding after all:
The Verge just reported that the startup has a new social media platform in the works.
Early prototypes are centered around ChatGPT’s native image-gen capabilities, which sent the app soaring to the top of the charts last month.
While we don’t yet know whether it’ll be a feature inside ChatGPT or a standalone app, The Information reports that posting to the feed is currently known as “yeeting.”
There’s another reason why OpenAI might be exploring social networking: For better or worse, social feeds are a great way to harvest user data, which can then be used to train next-gen LLMs.
Of course, OpenAI wouldn’t be the first to bring together social media and AI. xAI’s Grok is now fully integrated into X, while Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp users have easy access to Meta’s Llama-powered chatbot. But ChatGPT commands about 60% of the market share for chatbots. If it adds more social features, it could start to pull users from X and Meta’s platforms, setting up an explosive showdown.

How to create 3D logos with texture using ChatGPT

Go to ChatGPT and select GPT-4o as your model.
Upload a vector image of your logo.
Then upload a reference image that shows the texture or style you want to apply (e.g. metallic, fluffy, glassy, 3D).
Now prompt ChatGPT to apply the texture or style from the reference image to your vector logo.
Sample Prompt: "Apply the texture/style in the first image to the logo in the second image. Make it look 3D, rendered in Cinema 4D, high quality, 8K. Use a pure [your preferred color] background.”
Alternatively, you can also upload your logo and prompt ChatGPT to redesign it in any style you want—from futuristic and minimal to playful and bold.
