🧠 Insight: AI is not killing jobs yet

We’re all thinking about it: Is AI coming for our jobs?

Not yet, according to The Economist. Data from an article in the publication suggests that AI has had almost no effect on white collar jobs so far, as white collar jobs continue to occupy a higher percentage of total jobs in the US.

The article does however warn that it may be too soon to draw any conclusions, as many organizations have not yet widely adopted generative AI applications.

Generative AI applications could replace jobs, but there’s an alternate scenario where these tools end up making us more productive instead of replacing us. Only time will tell which scenario comes to fruition.

📰 News: AI won’t be winning any Grammys

Artificial Intelligence can do it all: from writing movie scripts, to generating videos, and creating mind-blowing art work. The one thing it won’t be doing anytime soon? Winning a Grammy.

The Recording Academy has released rules for next year’s award ceremony following a flood of viral AI music in recent months. For now, only human creators will be eligible for the highest award in the music industry.

But they’re not banning AI outright. Music which has elements of AI (such as an AI generated instrument or voice) can still be nominated, as long as there is significant human involvement with the track.
