Welcome back, superhuman
We got a little taste of AIs going rogue this week as Snapchat’s AI decided to take it upon itself to post stories without permission.
But Microsoft is here to save the day, as the company released a business version of ChatGPT with increased privacy protection for sensitive data that workers and companies weren’t comfortable sharing with regular old ChatGPT.

THE BIG INSIGHT
Microsoft makes ChatGPT secure and available to businesses with Azure ChatGPT
If you’ve thought about using ChatGPT at work, you might have been warned by a colleague or the IT team that it’s not safe to share any company data with the chatbot.
In fact, many major companies like Amazon, Apple, and Samsung banned their staff from using ChatGPT earlier this year, for fear that the app might use sensitive company data to train its own models.
But Microsoft may finally have a solution for everyone who wants to use ChatGPT at work.
Available on Github, the open source version of ChatGPT runs on Azure and offers companies privacy by insulating their data from OpenAI. Network traffic can be fully isolated to your network and other enterprise-grade security controls are also built in.

Luckily it was just a glitch

Snapchat users have been freaking out over the last couple of days, as some took to Twitter to report the chatbot randomly posting stories on their behalf, and not responding to messages.
Luckily, Snap’s AI hasn’t developed a mind of its own (yet). Snap confirmed the issue was a technical outage and claim to have addressed it quickly.
Released earlier this year, Snap’s My AI has courted controversy since launch, with many users leaving one star reviews to protest the AI chatbot.
